The Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe offers young people the chance to get to know European neighbours as well as to become aware of current cultural or political developments of the respective country. Young Europeans between the ages of 18 and 26 may apply for a travel grant to Germany. The trip needs to have a specifically defined research topic regarding a current cultural or political development in the context of the European integration. After the trip, the stipendiary has to submit a detailed report describing the acquired knowledge and experience. The travel grant amounts to €550. €400 will be paid at the beginning of the journey and €150 after presenting the report. Deadlines for applications are March 1st or September 1st. The Foundation notifies applicants of the result of the selection as soon as possible, not later than four weeks after the respective deadlines.
